Our Services

Benefits of bathing

A professional hydro-bath provides your dog with a deep, thorough cleanse, effectively cleaning both their skin and coat. This advanced washing technique ensures your dog stays fresher and cleaner for longer compared to at-home bathing. Our salon offers a wide range of premium shampoos and conditioners tailored to suit various coat textures and skin types, ensuring the best care for your pet. Additionally, the grooming process enables us to identify any lumps, bumps, warts, moles, or parasites early, ensuring your dog’s overall health and well-being

Nails

As part of our grooming service, we always check and trim your dog's nails during their appointment at no additional cost. For those who only require a nail trim, we offer standalone appointments for £10.00 plus VAT. Regular nail maintenance is essential, as overgrown nails can lead to discomfort, including splitting, deformities, or even growing into the paw pads.

If your dog visits us regularly for grooming, you won’t need to worry about their nails—we will assess and trim them as necessary to ensure they are in good condition. For some dogs, maintaining short nails may require more frequent appointments. Keeping your dog’s nails properly trimmed promotes their comfort and overall paw health

Anal Glands

At the owner’s request and with vet approval, we are able to check and express your dog’s anal glands during their grooming appointment. However, it is essential that a veterinarian first assesses your dog to determine if regular expression is necessary and advises on the appropriate frequency. This ensures the anal glands are managed properly and prevents unnecessary interference with the anal sacs.

If your dog is visiting us for a groom, this service is included at no additional cost. However, if your dog is experiencing ongoing issues with their anal glands, we strongly recommend consulting your veterinarian for further evaluation and treatment.

Please note that an emailed consent form will need to be signed prior to any anal gland expression being performed. This ensures clear communication and the best care for your dog’s health and well-being

Ear care & cleaning

We offer ear cleaning and plucking services for breeds that require this as part of their grooming routine. However, we only perform ear plucking when it is deemed necessary and when the dog’s ear canal is free from inflammation or irritation.

Ear plucking is especially beneficial for wool-coated breeds, as excessive hair in the ear canal can lead to recurring ear infections and discomfort. By gently removing the excess hair, we help maintain a clean and healthy environment within the ear, reducing the risk of irritation or infection.

Our ear plucking process is done carefully and with minimal discomfort to your dog. This service ensures proper ventilation of the ear canal and supports your dog's overall ear health. Regular maintenance, in conjunction with guidance from your veterinarian, is key to preventing long-term issues and ensuring your pet’s comfort and well-being

It is important that owners consult their veterinarian for approval prior to having this procedure done by a groomer. For your pet’s safety and comfort, we will require an emailed consent form to be signed before proceeding with ear plucking. This ensures that the service is performed responsibly and in line with veterinary guidance.

Removal of parasites

We offer services to remove external parasites, such as fleas, from your dog. Using an insecticidal shampoo, we can eliminate fleas currently on your pet. However, it is important to note that this treatment only addresses the fleas present on your dog at the time of grooming. To ensure complete eradication, you must treat your dog with a veterinarian-recommended flea treatment and thoroughly treat your home to prevent re-infestation.

Please be aware that there may be an additional charge of £5.00 plus VAT for flea treatment. Additionally, as part of our hygiene protocol, we will treat our salon with insecticidal spray following your visit to maintain a clean and safe environment.

To assist us in providing the best care, we kindly request that you inform us if you have noticed any fleas on your pet prior to your appointment. This ensures we can prepare appropriately and deliver the highest standard of service.

We are also able to safely remove ticks from your dog. Ticks can pose serious health risks, including the transmission of Lyme disease, so prompt removal is essential.

To help prevent ticks from attaching to your dog in the future, we recommend consulting your veterinarian for effective tick prevention treatments. Regular checks and preventative measures are key to protecting your dog’s health and well-being.

Teeth cleaning

Thank you for your inquiry regarding teeth cleaning services. While one of our team members, Karen, has completed training in ultrasonic teeth cleaning, we have decided not to offer this service at our salon due to the high volume of appointments we handle daily.

For your pet's dental care, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian. Veterinary experts advise cleaning your dog's teeth at least three times a week to minimize bacterial buildup, which can contribute to significant health issues, including liver disease. Prioritizing your pet’s dental health is crucial for their overall well-being
